Beginner Lessons

Entry level Square Dance classes are held every Wednesday at Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Royer Park, 110 Park Dr., Roseville, CA.

The next beginner lessons will start on September 16, 2026 --

The 1st lesson is FREE! ($8.00/lesson after that)

  • 6:30 to 8:30 pm – Wednesday evenings. This is an Introduction to Square Dancing program called "Mainstream" designed to prepare you to enjoy dances and festivals both in the US and Worldwide in just 20 weeks.

​

  • No prior registration is necessary to join the fun. Just come to Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Royer Park, 110 Park Dr., Roseville, CA on Wednesday, September 16th. 

​

  • Please note: No admittance to these beginner classes after the 2nd lesson - Sept. 23rd -- without permission of the Club President -- Contact, Jan Warren 916-716-464, if you'd like to join after Sept. 23.

Monday Nights!
     - Classes & Dance

Advanced level Round Dance, Plus-level Square Dance and Advanced level Square Dance classes are held every Monday at Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Royer Park, 110 Park Dr., Roseville, CA.

  • 7:00 to 8:30 PM Full Plus Square Dance with one Round Dance between tips.

  • 8:30 to 10 PM Advanced Square Dance

Regular Club Activities

  • Annual New Years Dance

    • Mavericks holds a gala New Years Dance each year featuring lots of Squares and Rounds.Each year is a spectacular time of finger foods, desserts, dancing and celebrating, all under one roof. ​

  • Regular Monday night dance at Plus Level including Round Dancing between tips.

  • Regular Club-hosted Mainstream, Plus Level, and Round Dances -- watch this page for more information on coming dances!

  • An annual Anniversary Dance in September

  • A Halloween Dance in October

  • Clothes Closet (a source of traditional square dance clothing) – this club event occurs occasionally. Watch this space, see the ASDSC calendar, and listen to announcements at Mavericks events for information on when the next Clothes Closet will occur.

  • And our club participates in the ASDSC’s “Harvest Hoedown” each Fall.
